algotrader Castor seed prices are swinging wildly this month. One day its ₹6200 per quintal, next day ₹6500, then back to ₹6300. What is causing this volatility? Makes it very difficult to do business when prices are so unstable.

China is main buyer and their demand fluctuates. Also speculation in futures market adds to volatility. Only way to manage is to not take large open positions and hedge in futures.
