Why tur dal prices are still ₹140-150 per kg in retail when this year production was good and import also happened? Consumers are suffering but prices are not coming down. Is there cartelization in pulse trade?

Its not cartelization, there are genuine reasons. Import duty was increased which made imports expensive. Plus farmers are holding stock expecting better prices. Also processing cost, transportation, GST everything adds up. At farm gate tur is ₹7000-7500 per quintal which seems reasonable given MSP is ₹7000

Whatever the reasons, common people are suffering. Government should release stock from buffer and bring down prices. Dal is basic food item and should be affordable for everyone.
