Building Own Trading Platform Using APIs – Worth It?

I’m planning a platform combining:

NSE live price via API

Options chain

Crypto price tracker

Strategy backtesting

Basically something like a mini Opstra + TradingView, for personal use.
Is it worth the effort or waste of time?

Worth it if you want control. Ready platforms hide logic. Your own system teaches you risk, latency, and execution reality.
