Is Adani Group Really Moving Into Oil Refining

Guys I keep seeing talks that Adani might step deeper into the oil business, not just LNG & storage terminals.
Also some ppl on Twitter talking about CALS (Cals Refineries) and linking it with Adani somehow.

I don’t see any official news yet.
Adani already has:

Mundra port oil handling

LNG terminals

JV with IOC for some infra

Wilmar (edible oil) operations

But refinery business is a big step.
Anybody have clarity?

CALS rumours keep coming every few years. The company is literally non-operational for long time. No verified info that Adani wants to revive it. People mixing past refinery plans with Adani’s infra expansion.

Adani is expanding in energy logistics, not refining (as of now). They focus on terminals, LNG, gas distribution, renewable and green hydrogen. Refinery margins are volatile, not their typical business model.

If Adani ever enters refining, it would be greenfield or acquisition of working asset, not CALS which has too many regulatory issues.
